We were Branded..

Early days of my First Semester-Engineering, travelling alone, in the 6.30-Bangalore-Shimoga Express, I was cribbing why should I travel to some odd place miles away from Bangalore to do my Bachelors :-). Suddenly, something related to Internals struck me. Since I had seen few of my classmates board the train, felt like asking them about it. There was this arrogant,as if "slap-him-hard-kind-of-looking" guy who was also travelling alone. Had noticed him in my class for his "right-on-time-to-the-classroom" behaviour. He gave some vague reply which did not auger well to my question. I never thought that chat would lead to an never-ending relationship with him. Thanks to our adverse individual traits. TVP, was the one who gave me the gyaan of Internals. As in they were not for studying Books, its more of "Smart-Study" (studying MQP - Model Question Papers). Gyaan worked wonders in early days, gradually got faded off as days went-by.

I am not sure of my first talk with SVP (spelt SV, hereon). Whatever I remember of him it would have been to ask him of some Notes. He was this studious, "10-minutes-before-Class-starts" guy, which jantaa could notice easily. He always use to occupy the corner seat, which was also the favourite of Your's Truly- so that I could aaram-se stretch my legs and be in comfort. (Un)Fortunately, when I entered his room, it was like one small hidden library. At first sight, I felt like running away from there. Whenever, I wanted to have some time-off, I used to flick his favourite `CHIP` magazine. He would be cursing me for that till date.

One fine day, I forced TVP to accompany me to his room. There were 2 beds and on one of them, some fat guy was sleeping tight. I frequented his room for 2-3 days and always saw this fatty hitting his bed hard. Finally, the Darshan of our great AK happened and he gloated leaps and bounds about his sleep. I was perplexed to hear that, as Engineering students took praise in publicing how less they slept. Since I did not stay in the Hostel, I met AK last of the three as he was not a part of my branch then.

First year of Engg, was a pass-through, with one pulling the other with their numbers in the Report Card. Enter AK, to our branch and things started changing gradually. There was this uncanny blend of 4 aggressively-cautious people, who were trying to lead in the curriculum. Around Sem 4-we had a Group Project. We enthusiastically coined a term in the Project Report, which then went on to become OUR identity through the campus. Brand P3A was coined.

It jelled so well within the campus, that juntaa started to name their project groups. As always, we led in all the curriculum activities. Profs, Lecturers made it a point to take our insight to which Optional Subjects to opt-for. That was truly amazing stuff. It was purely because P3A was the love of the class and mates around respected us to the core (Though there were exceptions). The bond went to a certain extent that, we decided it would be four members only (and its family in due course). P3A came out in flying colours, when the final semester was done.

The four pillars has always taught something or the other to the group and have contributed immensely to the BRAND image. For which, even after 3 long years, Profs back in our Institute, take notice of P3A.

After a pale intial period, each person has achieved much more than expected. But,theres always the thirst for gyaan. The dream of P3A´s own successfull venture, should come true in few years down the lane. Hopefully, with venture capitalists(in India) being aggressive and P3A having the right attitude, it WILL happen.

Guys, we rocked our Bachelors, Hope we do so in our Professional/Personal life and set an example. Though, there were some microscopic fissures, we never let it hamper our success story. Hope those are cemented eternally as and when it appears. Been almost 3 years into our Professional life, lets take a toast(no alcohol only fruitified H2O) in the name of P3A - 3 Cheers to P3A.. Hip Hip..

AK, TVP, SVP

But I remember pakku ..how i met you.
It was biting cold winter when our 1st sem started. I used to walk 2.5 KM from my room-home to college. Always ahead of me, fast paced, tall, guy with unique head shape with green bag use to walk ahead of me....sometimes cutting through the "high school ground" along the hypotenuse( shows optimising attitude..the shortest path!!).

One day, we ahd to give an assignment and I completed only in the morning. I had to hurry to the college. When I entered the class, I was sweting profusely despite the temperature was in mid 15ish. I used to sit in penultimate banch always...but today..alas I was late and had to settle for the last bench where this only lone tall guy was sitting. I went and sat next to thinking.."Thank got the lecturer is not still in...I can rest for 2 more minutes".

At the very instant this guy asked me " Assignment bardidya?". I said "hoon barde". Then we din't talk till the class was over. The guy with green bag was making notes heavily! Then I asked...where are you basically from...he said "Bangalore". Then I asked his name. He said Prakash :). This is how we met pakku :)

Yeah it was definitely more than 3 KM!
YEah it was real fun....sometimes I feel we dint "enjoy" it to the max...may be bec...we dint want to get entangled in something that was considered "clandestine"! The attitude of people definitely mmissed the attitude of Bloreans! Sad...but true!
