My Review of Kyon.. Ho Gaya Naa

Debutant director has tried to make a royal entry into the World of Bollywood with 2 Big A's (Amit and Ash) as his assets, but finally ends up giving all the kudos to Vivek Oberoi. Best thing is that the Director has tried to exploit the natural scenic beauty of Coorg. That's a big lesson to the regional filmmakers who throng for Foreign locations.

Film incessantly lacks depth in story-telling. It is just another timepass movie for filmy freaks. Film kicks off with a very slow motion of film-scripting. There's no hifi entry screen in getting Ash onto the movie, but the same kind of flow is not seen in the entry of Vivek :(. Arjun Khanna(Vivek) is a dud(e) with a go-getit attitude who drives Racing cars and always keeps losing :)). The racing shots shown in the movie seems like a promotional campaign from Ceat, Coke and many others. Believe it or not, Arjun would marry a girl whom his mom chooses to be.. awefull!!.On the other extreme is the voluptuous Diya who believes in instantaneous love.

Somehow Diya lands in Arjun's home, as she has to take some exam in Mumbai. All of a sudden, the small tussle's between them take a U-turn, courtesy Diya's foray into Bowling Alley. The Picturisation of Diya unsplitting the "SPLIT" is too good to miss, although it does not evoke much enthu as the end-result is known. As usual, the lead characters find themselves one step away from each other and Diya calls it a day and packs off from Mumbai. Enters our Uncle (Big B), Intermission.

Uncle(name not known :))) runs a orphanage and Diya is strongly associated with the same. Arjun joins the party too. (Un)knowingly, Arjun evokes interest in Uncle. From romantic flow to enthu children's, movie is headed nowhere. As a final resort, Suniel Shetty fly's back from US to have fun with people. Then the same old trusted story of suspicion in the hero's mind of "Boy meets girl. But, Girl Meets a man". Eventually, the boy gets the girl. The latter 1 hour of the movie has a soup added from the Johar's or Chopra's tested formula, with the director's own pepper.

Some of the dialogues in the movie worth borrowing, such as the "Itnaa Sab Kucch hone ke baad", adds a passion for friendship and more into it. AB brings in a lot of enthu in delivering his punchwords like "Cmon Charlie", Ta.. Charlie". Destiny can only understand his unrestrained enthusiasm. Two songs from the trio (SEL) are good. Utterly gorgeous makes even a dozing (about to doze) audience whistle..:D. Cute lovely pranks played on Ash, is a good try for the newgen juntaa.

There are a lot of flaws in the movie. Audience cannot understand how Arjun gets back his dress, after having a chemical reaction on it. in Railway station. May be Laloo has a huge Washer equipment on the rails. how Arjun gets Diya amidst the coffee estates of coorg? Marquee of Stock indexes, when Arjun shoots a prank shot on Video. Many of the scenes are flicked from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, was that to make Salman call Vivek again. Cellphone Service providers, good time for promotion of your product :)). Diya Mirza just comes in the movie to give a smile.

Overall Vivek and Amitabh tries to pull the film from a awefull script. But, fails todo completely. Ash would better stay away from accepting such type of offers, if she is not so interested in Vivek. The fat cells which she wore for "Bride and Prejudice" so reminiscent in this movie.

Final Verdict - Audience may not accept Ash-Vivek reel-real Duo on the Silver Screen.
