Tu Muskuraa jahaan bhi hai...

Yet another potential smash-hit from the maestro, AR Rahman. This team the 'Taal' team is back to mesmerise us. And this particular song is been looping back in my iPod for almost a day. The song is elegantly sung by soulful Alka Yagnik. I reckon ARR always had a soft corner for kavitha Krishnamurthy(remember Dil Se, Taal etc.), this is the first time around it is Alka donning the microphone(am I right?). Watch out for the soulful lyrics from Gulzar with very minimal musical tone. It surely stands apart for me. Yet another majestical rendition from the maestro :-)

Tu muskura jahan bhi hai tu muskura
Tu dhoop ki tarah badan ko chhoo zara
Shareer se ye muskuraahtein teri
Badan mein sunti hoon main aahatein teri
Labon se aa ke chhoo de apne lab zara
Shareer se ye muskuraahtein teri
Badan mein sunti hoon main aahatein teri

Aisa hota hai khayalon mein aksar
Tujhko sochun to mehek jaati hun
Meri rooh mein basi hai teri khushboo
Tujhko chhoo loon to behek jaati hoon
Teri aankho mein…
Teri aankho mein koi to jaadu hai
Tu muskura jahan bhi hai tu muskura

Tu muskura jahan bhi hai tu muskura
Tu dhoop ki tarah badan ko chhoo zara
Shareer se ye muskuraahtein teri
Badan mein sunti hoon main aahatein teri

Tez chalti hain hawaon ki saanse
Mujhko baahon mein lapet ke chhupa le
Teri aankho ki hasi loriyon mein
Main badan ko bichhaun to sula le
Teri aankho mein…
Teri aankho mein koi to nasha hai
Tu muskura jahan bhi hai tu muskura
Aa.. aa.. aa…

Tu muskura jahan bhi hai tu muskura
Tu dhoop ki tarah badan ko chhoo zara
Shareer se ye muskuraahtein teri
Badan mein sunti hoon main aahatein teri

Back from nowhere...

I am back and this time around there is an inherent push to pen my thoughts and keep this space updated more often. As every day seems to come packed with its own baggage, sometimes unzipping them leads to a smile while others to anguish.

It has been around 9 months updated my blog and of late, quite a few moments have been accumulated to remember if not cherished. After enjoying the wonderful 2007-08 summer down under with live cricket, tennis and many other get-aways associated with aussie summer, had my share of goodluck charm to tan myself in Indian Summer. Even a month long vacation to tour India could not fill the void when I was about to return to Melbourne. As such there was no anxiety of flying out of bangalore but the nerves of family bonding did squeeze itself.

Trip to India started with a sombre drive to melbourne airport as my friend rightly said "You are more sad than elated". Thats what a city like Mel can do to your psyche. But it was short-lived. I wanted to stoppver for a day in Singapore to do some sort of shopping and more so to feel the pulse of 'Little India'. One day in this humid country had me blabbering to my ex-colleague - 'Dude, how do you stay here? It is f***ing humid'. And did I say, before coming to melbourne I stayed in Singapore ;-)

Being a desi who reads TOI everyday staying abroad, does not invite for any suprises when you hit Bangalore airport. You just become one among the crowd away from the tag of NRI in Mel. Once all the pleasantries were exchanged with family, first thing I wanted to and did was zip my Honda-Unicorn across the busy roads of blore. It wasnt easy but it was fun to feel the wing-ride albeit with an headgear :-(

After a couple of trips to mangalore and few social functions to attend, life was more relaxed staying back at home enjoying home-made delicacy and being pampered by surround. Also catching up with friends was refreshing but meeting up with 'then-unseen' friends was delighting. Notably, some times it was hard to align the time while setting up a group-meeting which quite often led to cancellation or push-forward. Needless to say, did forget that I was changing TV channels warming the sofa at home while they grilled their remaining brain-cells in air-conditioned office cubicles.

After an exciting trip back home, it was business as usual on return to melbourne. Few weeks later, professional life moved away from comfort to intriguing zone on fasttrack. I would not have asked for more on this role-change, for am 'living my dream' till date.

Away from the fun at work, we were kicked away from our workplace and moved to another high-flier building downtown. This time around I could dictate terms of seating plan and managed the best cubicle overseeing a beautiful view of downtown-melbourne for the team and myself in particular. The joy was short-lived, as a pleading request from an 'interesting-member' of the neighbouring team could not be neglected ;-). Yep, brickbats keep flowing from my team till now.

As we near the end of yet another year, it is Spring and horserace-carnivals galore among the various racing venues around. Talk about racing and we get a public holiday to enjoy the fun and dine with wine among the most beautiful ones. This time around, I want to be a part of the Big race and be one among the craziest crowd. Two more weeks to go...
